Shannon Jordan, Owner, NCC, LPC, CCTPII, CDBT
I specialize in areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, supervision. Many people have survived complex trauma and emotional pain. The body has a remarkable way of protecting itself. Unfortunately, many trauma survivors develop dysfunctional behaviors that can cause further heartbreak and misery. As a result of these afflictions, counseling will likely be a slow and careful process. Meanwhile, we will start by developing a trusting rapport to facilitate healing.
We will work as a team to explore and define your unique areas of concern. Most importantly, with patience and commitment to change you can have freedom from your despair. I may combine many modalities to uniquely meet the needs of the client. For instance, symptoms associated with trauma, marriage, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or grief may benefit from the following modalities: Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, narrative therapy, art interventions, mindfulness and meditation, sensory integration and exposure techniques.
I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a level 2 specialist in Complex Trauma, and have completed 45 hours of training in Supervision.
The counseling field has given me the opportunity to refine my counseling skills and successfully operate and own two mental health businesses. We welcome you to our office and look forward to forging a solid and trusting relationship. I work with ages 21 and up.
